ISO and UL

Quality planning and execution is conducted for Continuous Improvement for the process, product and the Quality Management System (QMS) in order to meet or exceed customer requirements.

Some aspects of Acromatic Plastics' enhanced QMS are:

• Registered to ISO 9001:2000
• UL Recognized
• The quality organization reports directly to the President and is composed of Six Sigma Black Belts, American Society for Quality Certified Quality Engineers, and Certified Quality Auditors.
• Strong internal audit function and corrective preventive action system, integrated with periodic, focused, management reviews.
• Six Sigma quality methodology with complete statistical process analysis, capability studies, and reporting using state-of-the-art statistical/software package.
• Statistically valid sampling plans in use by trained personnel.
• Process control plans, first article measurements and inspections are strictly conducted in accordance with all customer requirements.
• Complete traceability of parts to lot and manufacturer, and for parts, operator, machine, mold number, cavity number, date and shift.
• Real time SPC monitoring and prediction connected to the corrective action system
• Ship to Stock and JIT Qualified
• APQP, FMEAs, PPAPs, and GRRs are routinely done as required.
• All files and forms are controlled electronically and can be e-mailed upon request. 

Ram Optical Instrumentation Video/CNC Measurement System:

Acromatic Plastics utilizes a Ram Optical Instrumentation non-contact video measurement system equipped with state-of-the art, full-featured metrology software. Acromatic Plastics has the capabilities for precision measurement, repeatability, accuracy and speed of measurement, on a much higher level than traditional precision measurement technology.

The Ram Optical Instrumentation video measurement system outputs the results of measurement into a complete SPC software application. The resulting information is used for process capability studies and process improvements.

The system is an important tool for product analysis efforts, which provides our clients with immediate, accurate and precise technical support by utilizing the system's high magnification and superior resolution image capture.

Brown & Sharp Global Image 575 Coordinate Measuring Machine:

Acromatic's CMM is equipped with PC-DMIS measurement and inspection software. With PC-DMIS Acromatic has the advantage of being able to measure everything from simple prismatic parts to complex, contoured surfaces with speed, efficiency and accuracy. PC-DMIS is a software package designed by CAD engineers. Part programs can be written off-line using the part database, or a part can be digitized and data collected to meet any of our customer's measurement requarements.

Data collected from the CMM measurement results can be directly input into SPC software and used to complete capability studies and to create any reports our clients may require.
